I'm feeling...

And now for another session of Adam's amazing world of crap. Well, to tell you the truth, so far this week it really hasn't been to bad. I'll give all the juicy details later though. I do have to go in chronogical order you know. Just one of those things you know? Anyway, here it goes...
I believe that I left off after talking about Dawn coming up a couple of weekends ago and the ensuing adventures. Well after that, it was pretty much routine. Everything went fine until Tuesday. You see, Jer and I were supposed to be going home for the Thanksgiving weekend. We were originally supposed to leave on Wednesday. Well for some reason, Jer's parents wanted to pick him up early. On Tuesday night, to be exact. That's all fine and dandy. It fucks up some of our plans but it's nothing we can't work around. We went ahead and talked to the manager at the hotel, Beth for any of you who might want to know, and she said that it would be perfectly fine for me to stay the night. Sweet. Beth rocks hardcore-like. Well Debbie and the rest of the clowns show up at about 5-ish. They hang around while I'm packing up everything and Debbie rants a little bit about an invoice that Jer had to sign. Oh God, now that just goes to show how out of it that woman can be. It was simply an invoice stating that Jer had recieved the room and that all services were issued accordingly. Debbie gets pissed off and rants about how Jer should never have to sign anything and that RSB should sign everything for him. She would not listen to me of course. But as soon as John and his girlfriend start backing me, she finally agrees to 'let' him sign the fucking invoice. I had to battle for an hour with that one. In that time, Jer blurted out that we had talked to the manager and gotten everything ok'ed for me to stay for the night. Damnit Jer, wrong thing to say at the wrong time. Debbie rants again on how I can't be trusted and that it will fuck Jer's chances of going to college. Blah blah blah. Turns out that she had taken the liberty to call RSB and talk to Brenda about me staying up there in the first place. Brenda didn't like it so Debbie went ahead and said that I just couldn't stay there. She just 'didn't want to take any more chances'. Wow. That really left me in an awkward position. Commence with the flurry of phone calls. First, I tried to call George but his phone was turned off (he was at work) so I had to call Tony and tell him that I was not going to be in KC the next day. You see, Tony was going to come up and we were going to go see Matrix: Revolutions in the I-Max theaters as well as hang out. We worked that out eventually so that left just one more series of calls to make. I called my mom and caught her just before she went to work and tell her to come and pick me up. Sure I could have gotten a ride from the hoard. But there are a couple of reasons for that. One is that there really wasn't enough room and second, is that I really, really hate Debbie and I just wasn't about to ride in the same vehicle with her for three hours after what she had just pulled. Back to the story, it turns out that my mom had to call into work at the very last minute (which forced her to work the entire holiday weekend) so she could come and pick me up. Well I ended up sitting there with all of my things packed up in the gate house for about 4 1/2 hours for my mom. She got lost along the way. Oh, about half an hour before my mom showed up, I talked with Beth. She was prepared to give me a room for free so I could stay. Had my mom not been so close, I would have taken her up on the offer. Well my mom showed up and we went around KC for a little while. We started to drive home and made pretty good time. We didn't get home till about 1:27am. I immediatly went in and flopped on my nice, comfy, hard bed. Sleepytime says I.
Well Wednesday rolls around and I end up sleeping in 'till about 9. I run around and get to the bank in time to set up a checking account. My mom weasels me over to Wal-Mart even though she know that I was supposed to meet Tony. I was originally supposed to meet him at my house at 10:30 to 10:45. We didn't get back until 12:45. I think. I was truly amazed to see Tony sitting there across the street still waiting for me. I still feel pretty bad about being late. I owe you Two-Tone. Well we head up to KC, making good time, despite the retarded cop issuing out false tickets. How can you give a ticket to someone when they are simply going with the flow of traffic? Isn't that morally wrong? Ah well, so we get up there and actually catch the first showing of the Matrix: Revolutions at 5. Awsome and sweet. L33+n355 even. We then rolled over to Kabuki, this Japanese restauraunt in the Crown Plaza, where I was introduced to a custom that I had honestly never heard of. The hot towel to wipe your hands with at the beginning of a meal. I know that you are supposed to wash your hands at every meal but I was not aware of the hot towel. They will not fool me again. Well the meal was delicous, and despite the fact that I can't remember the name of the dish for the life of me, I do know that it was breaded pork served with duck sauce and spicy mustard. And to my suprise, Tony had sushi for the first time. I think he really enjoyed it. It is delicious by the way. Very. We then headed home, dropping Mikey off at his grandparents house (?) deep in the recesses of Lexington. I don't really remember when we got home but they dropped me off and I once again flopped onto my big, woderful, l33+, cuddly bed. If you have not noticed or if I have not told you, I hate the bed up here in KC. It is entirely way to soft. It alone is responsible for many a restless night.
Well Thanksgiving came and went. Nothing really special there. My cousins came over and I got to hang out with Matt, who is wicked awsome, and play Halo alot. He's decent. Just needs some practice and a lot of legendary gameplay. We also checked out alot of his normal webcomics. On a side note, the one that stood above all the rest in my book is the one called Jack, which I now have a link to on the top of the page. This is an amazing comic, with some decent animation on it I might add. It's about hell, and all the different punishments and shit going on down in the abyss. You are introduced to a character by the name of Fnar, who is an unborn, brought to hell due to the fact that he was still in his mother's womb when they both died. And then, to Jack, the main character. Jack is the Grim Reaper, as well as the sin Wrath. This comic is simply amazing, and is still the only comic and one of the few things out there that truly touch me on an emotional level. For those of you who know me, you would know what it takes to do that. This is one of my favorite comics out there. Check it out please. Well back to the subject at hand. Getting to hang out with Matt was a major plus, although he did give me his cold, and I also got to hang out with Steve, albeit just for a few hours, but enough. On Friday, I treated Matt to a movie, Bad Santa. This is has honestly got to be one of the funniest movies that I have ever seen. I'm not a really big Billy Bob Thorton fan but then again, I haven't seen to much of his work. A must see. Tony, I think that you would even get a kick out of this. Well, Sunday rolled around and I got to drive the van with Jer and Lacey up to Columbia. After some weak RP, we left after we found out that Lacey's ride had fallen through. We got Lacey home and not to my suprise, we got caught up in what is the single biggest traffic jam I have ever been in. The line went all the way from just past Kingdom City all the up to the far end of Columbia. In that jam alone, it took us 1 hour and 40 some-odd minutes to get past Columbia. Oh boy what fun. Here's a little time frame for you. We left Tini's house at about 6:45 and didn't get to the hotel until about 11:50. Granted, we did stop for dinner and gas but that took about half an hour, tops. What fun, what fun. Ah well. Monday came and went, nothing big happening. Same with Tuesday. Yesterday, we had a little thing with Share-Fare. I hate that company. You are guaranteed at least a half-hour wait to schedule your ride. And the operators are complete assholes. They have actually cursed me out before. The managers weren't much better. They fucking hung up on me. The only thing decent about them are the drivers. These are a couple of really decent guys. There is Leo, the newly-wed, and there is Rosie, the family man. That man is truly devoted to his family. Really loves his kids you know? I respect that. That is a really good quality that is becoming more and more rare these days. But thats about it for Wednesday. And today, well, it was ok, although I did sleep in about 10 minutes. That is really bad. You see, I have to have enough time to get Jer up and ready to go as well as myself. And all that before 8:00, which is when our rides are normally scheduled. And these guys do not wait around. Well, they do, but they are not supposed to. There are just two drivers, with manifests for pickups every half hour. They are fucking swamped. Well anyway, we barely made it out the door with everything that we need and, to my suprise, we made it on time. Go me!
Well earlier today, I was surfing around and I found a new webcomic that appealed to me, but I don't know if anyone else will appreciate the humor. It's this Norwegian gothic comic. Pretty funny actually. Interesting how similar the two cultures are you know? Anyways, I put a link up so feel free to check it out. The name is Nemi. It's super cool.
Well that's about it so, in way of future plans, I plan to go back to the room, head to the bank, and go to a strip bar tonight. You see, this guy named Keith, who also goes to Alphapoint, is going home today. It's sort of a farewell thing. He's the guy who took us under his wing at first, showed us the ropes, and gave us someone to talk to. Dawn met him once. Scared the shit out of her too. Remember the dirty old man named Keith, huh Dawn? I don't know if Jer is coming or not though. Ah well, I'm going to go and check some boobies tonight so I'm happy.
Until next time,
Adam "Tyr" Cameron
